Definitely recommend if your a relaxed homeschooler (un too) that does not want a full curriculum just a simple instruction. There is a LOT of math, new math, and new methods to doing a problem now (not a bad thing entirely) that's math learning the different ways to think! This is a good way to reinforce a conversation in math so that the written portion does not go unnoticed my biggest regret in self-directed was not to use these books for quick reviews for myself. Regardless of your age, the age of the books, you'll be able to do the work after, or should.
I have learned money (which I've always had a fun time with), and saw how unready I was for A2. (Academically I am Sophomore in college except in Math! At least the way math is presented now). So this comes from someone with college experience. Not sure if that's helpful, or not, but anything to help people by these books and use them in their self-directed learning regardless of age. They're good books.
