A story of true love as told through the memories of a grateful daughter.2014年11月7日 - 已在美国亚马逊上发表
La Huera pays tribute to and give thanks to their parents by a baby boomer daughter at the time of her parents coming of age in the 30's & 40's and through her childhood memories while growing up in Arizona during the 50's & 60's. It's a story about two loving partners and parents that instilled in their children faith in God, love of family and a strong work ethic to always put forth one's best effort. A take away message is that tomorrow is not guaranteed so one should live each day to its fullest and be thankful for each day given while not taking for granted those closest to us.

Truly "love, faith and hope" are here...and in Arizona!2013年6月1日 - 已在美国亚马逊上发表
Who writes about life in Miami, Arizona? This little mining town in the desert was a stage where two main cultures played out their lives in the century of the 1900s and here is the history from a member of one of those families. The author, Frankie Mae, honored her family and her memory by writing this book--a tribute to her parents, Henry and Evelyn. In this journey of a book, readers will be treated to the good times, the tough times as well as some fun. It is written in a clear style, as if the author were looking back at time through a telescope. If you are interested in reading about life in a very different part of the U.S., if you are curious about how the Hispanic culture integrated with the American culture, if you want to reminisce in the space of the last century, this memoir makes for great reading.
