Great Book if you have menopausal arthritis; yet most of us have not ever heard of this term. Doctors have no clue about menopausal arthritis and just want to drug you which is the last thing you need. I like how the author, who is brilliant, is to the point without wasting my time; I find too many books try to be entertaining. I eat a Traditional Foods based diet (example: Paleo) and could not figure out how I was getting arthritis when I eat to near perfection. I'm eating lower carb, grain, dairy and sugar free with lots of vegetables, especially greens along with a small daily amount of pastured meats and organs. I also eat bone and fish broth daily and I am normal to thin size but my knees where just getting worse. This book has been helpful to understand the probable cause of my suffering.

This book focuses solely on knee arthritis due to menopause. I actually don’t have knee arthritis but have back and elbow issues which coincided with peri and post menopause. The exercises are solely for leg strengthening. The information on nutrition and supplements can be gleaned elsewhere without purchasing this book.

Found this book to be extremely helpful and inspiring. Contacted the author with some questions and actually got a reply. Easy to read and nicely organized.

I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my copy. But wanted to make note that menopausal arthritis doesn't just occur in post menopausal women. I am a newbie to menopause and my only symptom is the crippling feeling of arthritis. After discontinuing birth control pills my estrogen fell dramatically my symptoms started. I am hoping to find some natural relief with this book. My doctors haven't been a whole lot of help.

Just beginning to try exercises and additional supplements. (Reason 4 stars, but will update after a month or two) Already using some supplements author recommends. Don't understand why this is not getting more publicity. It's thorough, straight-forward, and doesn't require mass amounts of money, nor time. The author has done an extensive amount of research, and just for that, should be commended. How she found those studies from the 20's nd 30's is amazing in itself. I'm definitely in the 'profile': post-menopausal, plus after rear-ended car accident became pre-diabetic, metabolic, higher cholesterol, etc. (That is another story, but please be aware that Depo-Medrol injections in the spine can lead to other, equally painful, chronic issues) Can't find too much info on Phyllis Rickel-Wong, except resides in CA. Love the pen and ink drawings. Always impressed when so much detail can be achieved in a picture and without using high-tech methods. Overall, refreshingly insightful...Please excuse any typos: using eye drops.
