WELL RESEARCHED.2015年1月21日 - 已在美国亚马逊上发表
A great book for the scholars among us. Much too much information for my needs, although I appreciated the depth of the research done by the author. I was looking for a book more focused on the characters of Montefeltro and Malatesta, especially and most particularly, their patronage of the Fine Arts and how it played into the rest of their bellicose lives. The book goes into finite detail of all of the land battles in their histories with many, many characters over many, many years which would be very interesting for those seeking that knowledge. With that in mind, it would be a very worthwhile read.
Written like an intelligence report2014年3月19日 - 已在美国亚马逊上发表
Hugh Bicheno is a former intelligence officer and this book reads much like a report. It's rough going with a level of detail that is excruciating. I am very interested in this subject but could not spend more than an hour at a time with the book. If you want to create an itinerary for a tour of Italian battle sites, it's ideal. The country is marvelous and the people are friendly. But I intend to pass this book on to a friend, and keep on looking for similar works.
Ilove such man2013年10月11日 - 已在美国亚马逊上发表
I gave the highest points because the book can be written also in 1914 and than 1945 and than in 2013. And why, because the condotiery or people like them hadnt desapear and because we like to play soldier as children and many of adult too.

But only 'like'2013年1月31日 - 已在美国亚马逊上发表
This piece requires a ledger to make things add up. Surely, I could keep up, but not without stopping from time to time to determine which was the first strand on the spaghetti plate. It not only displays dysfunction of families and rival communities, but leaves me thanking Italy for keeping it to themselves.
