I share the blame for my disappointment in this book. I was shopping for it on my cell-phone so I missed the part of it being only 24 pages long. The advertisement does say that, but I missed it on the small screen. You should know, however, that the table of contents and index pages are included in this count, as is one page of advertisements for other books. The format of the book is thus: there is a picture of a moose on the right side of the page, and some descriptive text on the left. The font is huge, with from 15-25 words per page. Intended for very young children, I suppose the book is fine, although any child old enough to read would be done with it in five minutes, and they will have learned some very basic information about moose. Although the book is useless to me, that part of it is my fault, so I am still giving it three stars. The pictures are nice, and it might be something that a parent could read to a child, who is following along, looking at the pictures. Read slowly though, or you'll have to reach for another book.
