The RP-HTX7 tips the scales at a feather-light 5.4-ounces without the cord, and features a soft, easy-fit headband. The fit is snug enough to stay put and keep out ambient noise yet are so comfortable, you might forget you have them on. The single-sided cord stays out of your way.
They are fairly durable, I have been carrying them around in my backpack for a month and they haven't suffered for it. You could certainly bend the metal tracks that the earpieces ride on if you tried hard enough, so my advice is to not try.
Today they stopped working suddenly and completely. No increasing malfunction or anything to warn us that something was amiss. Just stopped working. No sound. They are completely non-functioning.
Very unfortunately for us, we are unable to return or exchange the headphones because they failed only 4 days after the return date expired.
Maybe you'll have better luck and get a set that last longer than 34 days. We are very unhappy with this purchase and would not recommend buying these headphones unless you manage to get an extended warranty.
As an aside, in general, headphones seem to suffer over time with loose connections either at the jack end or in the wire connected to the headphones. This has been going on for decades. You'd think by now they would beef the two connecting points up so that they don't come loose for ten or twenty years.. The RCA plugs on my receiver and home theater don't come loose for decades, so why should headphone connections? It eventually happened on my Koss Pro 4A headphones after about 15 years even though I probably used them less than 50 times in that time period, and they were considered one of the better products.
At the price point these are a no brainer.
