平均4.0 星 A good fit for my journey (literally and figuratively)... 2017年2月2日

I drove 12 hours to get to my Christmas and I listened to this in its entirety, but I spent the whole time saying things like, "uh huh, that's me", and I realized that I listened only for the sake of validation. I listened to it again on the return journey with a more studious ear and I learned a lot; I really like practical, nuts 'n bolts guidance, and this book has plenty of that.
By its nature, I think intuition is something we all tap into in inherently personal ways, and from my perspective, this book seems like a legitimate tool for anyone pursuing meaningful self-awareness.
If you're wondering why I didn't give it 5 stars, well, when it comes to items such as this, 5 stars feels like marriage to my mind, and I'm just not far along enough in my relationship with this book to so commit.

I really enjoy this book. It is the perfect balance between reading and lessons. I find I have gone back months later to see what my comments were and I note what happens or changed. There are some blank areas to make notes in, but I would enjoy it more if there was maybe a little more blank space to write. I find I don't go back to my notebook as often as I flip to my book pages with notes.

Ms. Peirce has written a thoughtful and well-organized guide to developing our relationship with the intuitive mind. Her premise is that each person has an intuitive faculty, which is our birthright as human beings. However, some people are more in touch with this faculty than others. Thus her strategy is to show us what blocks intuition, then how to work to unblock it. The exercises she provides to help us do this take up a large part of the book. In that sense, it is more of a workbook than just a book to read.

Part 1, entitled "Creating a Clear Lens," walks the reader through a series of exercises to clean out habits of thought, fears, and unhelpful beliefs which most of us carry around until we do our interior housekeeping. Many exercises resemble the work that so many people do in therapy, that is, uncovering painful issues from the past and clearing them out. This clearing opens up the channel from the "Big Mind," that is, the intuitive mind, so that we can receive guidance.

In Part 2, "Accessing Subtle Information," the focus turns to specific exercises for developing more sensitive perception and awareness. You will find here an emphasis on using your body awareness to tap into your intuitive mind. This makes perfect sense, as being grounded in the physical realm gives us a stable base from which to extend outward into the unknown.

Finally, in Part 3, "Making Intuition Useful," Ms. Peirce leads us through exercises on applying intuition to everyday life. She includes very good information on dream work, working with the creative process, self-healing, and accessing super-conscious guidance, among other topics.

This is really a lovely book. It is down-to-earth and practical, but also leads the reader gently into the spiritual realm. Ms. Peirce does not promote using ESP or telepathy in order to control the future, manipulate others, or otherwise get one's way in life. Rather, she encourages us to open up to a higher consciousness, and live our lives by creating in tandem with this consciousness. Through this work we become more at peace, more loving, more creative, and just plain happier.

I have never shared in writing the manifestations that have been sent to me. A manifestation seems to be a sign in writing, answer to a prayer, or visual information regarding a question or a decision to make. I have stored the given information away or (sometimes) verbally told someone who was wrestling with a life changing decision. Understanding that intuition is the first step to recognizing a manifestation is not easy. This book shows that practice and watching for outcomes takes time. It is not a beginners guide, it maybe a door opener; but if used as a guide and following the suggestions, your path to usable intuition could be shorter.

Intuition is personal and you may not be able to share with everyone, but this book can be shared. Don't give up being watchful and practicing answers will be given. This book helps you to understand the opening.

This is a guide, meaning, there are exercises and prompts
Absolutely worth the time and effort you put in

There are so many books re: intuitive and psychic or psi development. there are books on wicca, witchcraft and ritual, yogic traditions, astral travel, meditations, mystery schools, esoteric this and that. because of a profound respect and love for all things possible, I've read tons.

the Intuitive Way is one of two manuals I've read that absolutely makes sense on every level. It is practical, clearly written, and offers easy-to-understand explanations of how the world and our minds work. not the standard, no offense, new age or niche offerings.

The Guide covers the basics on energy and form, how World View shapes our perception and what we manifest, how we can increase awareness of our daily thought patterns and choices, and so on. What is continually revealed is that it actually takes a great deal of energy/effort to buy into illusions of separation (from all that is). Being intuitive and accessing different levels of consciousness is actually our natural state. As a creation of the universe that is constantly creating, we are invited to return to the stream of consciousness, to be and create.

This is written for folks who appreciate (the possibility of) subtle realities and are curious about reclaiming their intuition and perceptual capacities. It's not authored by someone who remained "psychically" awake since birth. We are all born intuitive, in different ways, tho many of us learned to shut down perception for a number of different reasons. I'm one of those folks who switched off and am now coming back online.

While working into the 2nd chapter, i had the opportunity to set a session with Penney Peirce. She is absolutely the real deal. As with the many books I've read, I've also collaborated/worked with a number of reputable, potent, and thoughtful seers. Of the many folks I've consulted over the years, for my own healing and professional practice, Penney is outstanding. It is obvious that she has access to many dimensions of information - and of all that she intuits, she offers what is appropriate and most helpful in the moment.

it's obvious that she writes, consults and teaches because she cares deeply. not because she is interested in a following or to turn a profit. this is pretty major, considering the booming business of 'spiritual' self-help. it seems that much today is a commodification of "being." This Guide is an invitation to Being. Not via high cost seminars or products, but through a daily, creative process of self-discovery and observation.

i look forward to the exercises and actually engage the suggestions full-tilt, even tho i tend to color outside the lines and am usually less interested in following instructions. within the recommendations and tips there's room to play, many ideas of how to be in the present moment and make the process personal. in the journal i started with this book, i've begun drawing images before answering the questions. its such a pleasure watching the mind reveal itself, an image and word at a time.

The Intuitive Way is a tremendously generous source of integrity and guidance. A fantastic book that wonderfully reflects it's author intention.
