商品描述

"I Cry for You, I Cry for Me" is a memoir of author Wayne Tozier Seames's struggle since the loss of his cherished partner. It represents a compendium of his thoughts reflecting the overwhelming despair that has come into his life. Grieving the loss of a spouse or partner is a heartrending confrontation that must be undertaken by the surviving partner.

As a guide, "I Cry for You, I Cry for Me" seeks to help those suffering the agony of their loss. Seames explores the commonality of grief all survivors must confront and offers help in coping with the agony of such a profound lost.

Additionally, he has developed a plan of self-recovery in the face of the anguish that anyone who has lost a loved one must deal with after their loss. While he has begun to make the steps necessary to heal, there remain many more critical steps to be taken. For many months he has cried daily over the loss of his partner. The cries are not volumes of tears but tears of emotional distress-of the loss of the earthly presence of true love.

平均5.0 星 A real book about the grieving process 2012年4月12日

Mr. Seames has truly captured the feeling of grief and the process one goes through after the loss of a spouse. While the grieving process itself can slam someone with great emotion and also touch someone with the tedium of days after loss, the book is neither too emotional to withstand, nor tedius. In fact, it is a quick read which shares the stages of grieving in a way that is direct and clear, and helpful to the intended audience.

The book is written from the point of view of someone who is not afraid to show emotion, who is open to having the reader feel a sense of empathy through his descriptions, should they be struggling with the loss of a spouse.

Mr. Seames set out to write a 'real' book, to process his own deep loss, and to share thoughts and emotions that he could not find in other grieving books written by psychologists, psychiatrists, or other doctors who would be 'expert' in the field. Additionally, his poetry paints grief in the moment. The poems are artistic within the context of the book, and can also hold their own.

I'm glad I read the book and I hope that if you are grieving the loss of a spouse, you would also take the journey with Mr. Seames, through his words, to comisserate, and to assist in the process of your loss.

I work with seniors in my business and I will share this book with my clients who lose their loved ones.

平均5.0 星 Perfectly written for widowers by a widower 2012年4月14日

In this book Wayne Seames accomplishes a rare thing: he manages to speak to the experience of losing one's spouse after decades of marriage in a voice that men of his generation will undoubtedly be able to relate to. He writes clearly and directly about how he worked through the pain, confusion, grief and loss after losing his beloved wife of many years.

As a psychologist who has worked with many who have lost their spouses, I'm aware of a longstanding hole in the literature which Mr. Seames has finally filled for us. Many have written about the experience of loss from one perspective or another, but to my knowledge this is the first book written to men of his generation by one of their own. I expect this will make this volume particularly easy for them to connect with. I am sure they find his firsthand account helpful, and that they will find comfort and guidance in how he eventually managed to achieve a sense of peace and resolution.

平均5.0 星 Grief by an honest man 2012年5月6日

I am happy that Wayne has completed his book. In healing himself he has managed to share in a loving and honest fashion that I am sure that others may find comfort. A mission to share with others the emotion, pain, and stuggle of grief is indeed a mark of a noble man. As a senior care pharmacist I would think many would benefit from this book. I just purchased several copies to share with others. Bless you Mr. Seames for sharing your life with us. There is often a time limit place on grief by others. This book offers that the time may go on as long as one takes to heal. Claire Fry Clincal Senior Care Pharmacist

This is a very straightforward and thoughtful accounting of losing one's spouse. Clearly the author is grieving the loss of his wife, but his direct manner of how he is coping with daily life and his journey of working through his grief will be inspiring to all that read this book.
