I never used metal utensils while cooking and I only use regular dish soap and a non-abrasive pad to clean it, but within a fairly short amount of time the interior started showing wear with scratches and tiny bubble-like dimples appearing on the surface. About a week ago I noticed what looked to be a small piece of the coating starting to flake off, but when I pulled it, it tore off like a thin piece of paper so I'm assuming the non-stick part is just a thin sheet of laminate glued to the inside of the skillet. Doesn't exactly scream "high quality," that's for sure.
I'll admit the pan performed well for its relatively short life, but if I wanted a disposable skillet I'd have to replace every year and a half or so, I'd buy one from a dollar store.
More important is its weight. This is a very heavy pan when empty and without the lid. With food in it and the lid on it became very challenging for me to move from the stove or to lift from the oven. It really does need a small grab handle on the opposite end to make it easier to use two hands to lift it.
That said, the skillet does stay level on the stove top and cooks to perfection if you read the instructions that caution you not to use a high heat setting. It would be a 5-star for me if it were not for the cumbersome issue of handling it.
I am glad that at least I got the sale price on this skillet. Had I paid $100 I would be very unhappy. I used it once so cannot return it and am disappointed that it just won't work for me. A friend also ordered this skillet and promptly passed it on to someone else because she too could not manage the weight of it.

I'm adding an addendum to my previous review and giving it an extra star. I've actually used this skillet several more times now and although the weight of it and the long handle are still issues I have to say the cooking results are superior and make up for things I don't like about it. There are no "hot spots" where food in some areas overcook while those in other areas don't. I've not used any cooking oil at all and the skillet is a dream to clean up. I've found some storage space for it in the drawer under the oven where we keep cookie sheets. We'll be keeping the skillet but still do caution others about the weight and the super long handle. I definitely could not manage it in the oven but am glad I took the time to test it further before sending it into the "Donate" bin.
In every way this is superior to any pan I have owned. I highly recommend it.
